1. Scope
This Policy applies to your use of the COREXTV website, live streaming, chat, VOD, clip, subscription, and tipping features. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect — Account
When you register, we collect your email address, username, display name, role (viewer or creator), and a password that is stored only as a bcrypt hash. We never store your plaintext password.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and basic profile identity to create or link your COREXTV account.
3. Information We Collect — Profile and Creator Information
Creators may provide a channel name, bio, an “about” section, social links, a streaming category, stream titles and tags, a weekly stream schedule, and images (avatar, banner, offline screen, and thumbnails).
Images you upload are stored by the Platform and served back publicly as part of your channel.
4. Information We Collect — Authentication and Security
To protect accounts, we record failed login attempts keyed by IP address and email address, and apply temporary lockouts after repeated failures.
Signed-in sessions use JSON Web Tokens stored in your browser’s local storage; tokens expire automatically.
5. Information We Collect — Device, Network, and Usage
Like most web services, our servers process your IP address and standard browser metadata when you use the Platform.
We record product usage events needed to operate creator discovery and analytics: watch-time heartbeats (associated with an anonymous viewer key stored in your browser’s local storage, not your identity), follows, raid participation, achievement progress, and per-channel live viewer counts.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the Platform.
6. Information We Collect — Streaming
For each broadcast we store stream sessions (title, category, game, tags, start and end times, duration, and whether the broadcast used desktop or mobile broadcasting).
Live video is transported through AWS Interactive Video Service (IVS), and broadcasts may be recorded to AWS S3 to create VOD replays. A channel’s stream key and ingest details are stored privately and never displayed to other users.
7. Information We Collect — Chat and Community Content
Chat messages are stored so they can be replayed for viewers joining a live stream and so channel moderation can be enforced. Guest chatters are assigned a random guest name.
Follows, in-app notifications, clips, and clip view counts are stored to provide those features.
8. Information We Collect — Payments
Subscriptions and tips are processed by Stripe. We store transaction records — amounts, creator, transaction type, and status — but never your full payment card number, which is collected directly by Stripe on its secure checkout pages.
Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to information you provide to Stripe.
10. How We Use Information
We use the information above to operate the Platform: delivering live video and chat, hosting channels and profiles, processing payments, computing creator discovery and analytics features, enforcing these policies, securing accounts, and communicating with you about the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
11. How Information Is Stored
Platform data is stored in our application database, and uploaded images are stored within our infrastructure. Live and recorded video is processed and stored by AWS under our configuration.
Data is retained for as long as your account is active and as needed afterward to operate the Platform, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
12. Security Practices
We use transport encryption (HTTPS), hashed passwords, expiring tokens, login rate limiting and lockouts, role-based access control for administrative features, and scoped credentials for infrastructure providers.
No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will act in accordance with applicable law.
13. Service Providers and Processors
We share information with providers only as needed to run the Platform: Amazon Web Services (live video and VOD storage), Stripe (payments), Google (optional sign-in), and our transactional email provider (service communications, when enabled).
Steam’s public API is used to display game metadata; no personal information about you is sent to Steam.
14. Analytics
Creator analytics and discovery scoring are computed from first-party Platform activity (streams, follows, chat, watch time). We do not buy or sell third-party behavioral profiles.
15. Communications
We provide in-app notifications for platform events such as follows, raids, and achievements. Where email notifications are offered, you can control or disable them in your notification preferences.
We may contact you about service-critical matters (for example, security or policy changes) using your account email.
16. Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, creators, or the Platform.
17. Data Retention
We retain account and content data while your account is active. Financial transaction records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.
When content is deleted (for example a VOD), it is removed from active Platform surfaces; provider-side residual copies are removed as our infrastructure configuration permits.
18. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
You can exercise these rights through your account settings where available, or by contacting privacy@corextv.com.
19. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account by contacting privacy@corextv.com from your account email. Deletion removes your profile and personal information from active use; records we must keep for legal, security, or financial-audit reasons (such as payment records) are retained only as required.
20. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact privacy@corextv.com and we will remove it.
21. International Users
The Platform may be accessed from around the world. By using it, you understand that your information will be processed in the jurisdictions where we and our providers operate, which may have different data-protection rules than your home country.
22. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
